thank you for your interest in j2 home. we'd like to take this opportunity to get you acquainted with our candles. j2 home candles are created using 100% soy wax, manufactured in the United States. soy candles steadily burn cleaner than paraffin wax candles, with little to no soot or smoke production. soy candles also burn more slowly, allowing you to enjoy your candle far longer than what you would expect from a paraffin wax candle.
soy wax that has not been blended with other additives or waxes has a naturally 'rustic' look. it is not uncommon for soy wax to 'frost', or develop a rough texture on the surface of the wax that is lighter in color in comparison the the rest of the wax. after burning, the wax tends to become glossy and may solidify in slightly uneven textures. this is to be expected from this natural product, and does not affect the scent quality or length of burn time in any way.
other than keeping the wick trimmed as you would with any other candle, soy candles require very little maintenance to keep them burning cleanly and producing high-quality, strong scent throws.
